Man Accused of Threatening Rochester Bar Patrons With Gun
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man is behind bars after being accused of threatening bar patrons with a firearm Wednesday evening.
Police Captain Casey Moilanen says officers were dispatched to the North Star Bar in the 500 block of Broadway Ave. North on the report of a subject, identified as 32-year-old Johnathan Terrell, walking around the area with a handgun around 8:40 p.m. A witness reportedly told police that Terrell appeared to be intoxicated and was seen passed out in a vehicle at the time of the call.
Responding officers reported finding Terrell passed out in a vehicle. Officers also recovered a .380 handgun in the vehicle Terrell was in, Moilanen said.
Authorities also reported finding a small amount of cocaine on Terrell while he was being booked into the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. Moilanen said it’s unclear how Terrell had threatened anyone with the firearm.
Terrell faces potential charges of felony drug possession and carrying a firearm without a permit, according to Moilanen. He’s being held at the jail awaiting arraignment in Olmsted County Court.
