Three weeks of the High School football season are complete, and there has been some movement across the rankings of the seven classes of football.

Nine area teams cracked the Top-10, with several other area teams receiving votes this week. There were 12 area teams ranked last week.

 

There is only one new #1 ranked team this week. Wheaton-Herman/Norcross stayed at  #1 in 9-Man, Minneota remained #1 in Class A, Chatfield stayed at #1 in Class AA, Cannon Falls was at the top of Class AAA, Hutchinson remained #1 in Class AAAA, while Mankato West at #1 in Class AAAAA. Eden Prairie made the jump from #2 last week to #1 in Class AAAAAA this week.

9-Man Minnesota State High School Football Rankings

Lanesboro stayed at #2 this week and Spring Grove remained at #6, while also receiving one first-place vote. Spring Grove and Lanesboro meet up to wrap up the regular season in Week 8.

 

Mabel-Canton fell from the Top 10 after their loss to Spring Grove last week. The Cougars and Grand Meadow both received votes this week.

Class A Minnesota State Football Rankings

Fillmore Central is the one team from southeast Minnesota to crack the Top 10 in Class A this week. The Falcons moved from #7 to #6 this week after their win over the Hayfield Vikings.

Randolph was tied for 9th last week but fell from the Top 10 after a one-point loss to Bethlehem Academy. The Faribault BA Cardinals and Randolph both received votes this week.

Class AA Minnesota State Football Rankings

The Chatfield Gophers and the Caledonia Warriors remained at #1 and #3 this week. The two Section 1 powers will meet in the regular season during Week 7 (Friday, October 7th). A game that we will broadcast on 103.1 KFIL.

Cannon Falls remained at #1 while Plainview-Elgin-Millville fell from #6 to #7 despite a big win over Triton last week. Rochester Lourdes is another Section 1 team to watch. The Eagles received votes this week and their long loss of the season came against Chatfield who is #1 in Class AA.

Hutchinson, Rocori, and Stewartville remained as the Top 3 teams ranked in Class AAAA. The Stewartville Tigers are coming off a win over Faribault and have a big matchup this week against Byron, who was ranked #4 a week ago. The Bears fell to Winona in OT last week and fell from the Top 10. Kasson-Mantorville, Byron, and Winona all received votes this week.
