Plea Agreement in Rochester Murder Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - There was a guilty plea today for a fatal shooting in Rochester last year that police say resulted from “a drug deal gone bad."
19-year-old Robert Salley today entered guilty pleas to second-degree murder and a felony weapons-related charge. A second weapons-related charge was dropped through the plea deal.
Salley was arrested in January of last year following the shooting death of 24-year-old Trevor Boysen in the parking lot of The Quarters Apartment Complex near the Rochester Community and Technical College Campus. Rochester police obtained a security camera video that shows Salley getting into a car, and then after exiting the vehicle, firing a gun at the car. The video then shows Boysen exiting the car before he collapsed on the pavement. A half dozen spent shell casings were found at the scene.
Salley, who had been scheduled to stand trial in March, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 8th.
