Hilarious Illinois Wildlife Safety Guidelines from National Park Service
When spending time in one of Illinois' 5 national parks, you'd think comment sense would always be used. Nope. That's why we got this funny reminder.
Illinois National Parks
Illinois is home to five national park service sites, three national historic trails, a national historic site, and a national monument.
1. Trail of Tears National Historic Trail
2. Lewis and Clark Historic Trail
3. Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail
4. Lincoln Home National Historic Site
5. Pullman National Monument
SUMMER FUN: The 5 Best Camping Spots in Illinois
None of the above 'must-see' Illinois attractions are the kinds of places you would likely have an encounter with wildlife, but Illinois is also blessed to have over 60 state parks, as well. It's there where you might be subject to a dangerous encounter with wildlife.
What I like most about this wildlife warning from the National Parks Service is that its creator(s) are as surprised as the rest of us that there are people who can be so incredibly dumb as to try and get a selfie with a wild, horned animal that weighs over 500 pounds?
It doesn't really matter the kind of warning given, because... well, because "stupid."
