Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The theft of catalytic converters in Rochester continues.

Rochester police received more reports over the weekend.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says the thieves are mainly targeting Honda and Toyota model vehicles. He says one sure way to avoid a theft is to keep the vehicle in a secure garage.

Moilanen says there have been about 30 reports of thefts since late September.

Authorities say the devices are expensive to replace, at costs ranging from $1200 to $3200.
